Freeletics Review  Week #1  Week #2 Week #3

Right then, Howie and I are starting a challenge. We’ve decided to get in the best shape of our lives. And we’re not talking old school Hulk Hogan Muscle Monster Style, we mean lean, mean, healthy and energetic, a fitness level our body and mind will appreciate.

So, why did we start this challenge?

Well, as we both decided we want to get into peak condition we thought it might be fun to have a bit of a competition between the two of us. Push ourselves a little. Secondly, we’re signed up for the ‘Tough Mudder’ (Northern Germany) on the 11th of July 2015. It’s a hardcore, 19 kilometre obstacle race that requires you to have all-round fitness, meaning you need to have decent levels in both cardio and functional strength in order to enjoy the race. If enjoy is indeed the right word. Which it won’t be.

It’s Howie vs Dave. Bring it on.

Howie is determined to beat me, but I’m not going to let that happen. We only have eight weeks to get ready for it – but we know with a bit of dedication and pushing ourselves we can do this. Time to get the Rocky soundtrack out.

We need something that focusses on:

  • being quick and easy to fit into our busy days (15-45 minute workouts)
  • body weight training
  • includes running
  • is challenging

Howie vs Dave Freeletics Journal | hurrythefoodup.comWe looked around at various training programs that might help us and of all we found that Freeletics looks pretty interesting.

Howie and I are signed up and ready to go. Freeletics has an active and involving community feature, so, if you fancy trying it out – let’s connect! Our accounts are Howie Fox and Davey B – give us a shout! We’d love to see as many of you there as possible.

  1. Beverley @ sweaty&fit

omg this is awesome!! my boyfriend started doing freeletics at the beginning of this year and he can’t get enough of it. he was so tired of going to the gym and doing the same boring workouts, and freeletics has totally helped him get out of that rut (i sound like such an advert right now, but im being completely serious).
Can’t wait to see your results!

    • Hey Beverley! Your enthusiasm is awesome 🙂 and great to hear. Yep, it’s really enjoyable (and tough!!) so far but I already know the hard work is gonna pay off. Tell your bf to add us in the community and we’ll give him an ‘applause’ every now and then 😉

  2. Hey Howie and Dave,

I’m an old friend from Hauke and saw your giveaway. I did freeletics for 3 months 7 days a week last summer and it really worked for me. Unfortunately winter killed my motivation, but I’m about to start again. So good luck going through it. 🙂

  3. Shashi at RunninSrilankan
