Tomato Butter

Elevate any party with the ultimate party food - tomato butter. Just keep your eye on it - it’ll be gone in seconds!

  • 8.5 oz butter (alternatively, use salted butter and skip adding extra salt later)
  • 7 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 ½ tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika



    • Chop the onion and garlic as finely as possible. Fine is important. Put them in a large bowl.
    • Add the butter, tomato paste, lemon juice, salt, pepper and paprika to the bowl and give it all a good mash up with a fork. Make sure everything gets mixed in well.
    • Place in a suitable serving dish (or transportable dish).
    • Party hard.


    Of course, good bread is the ultimate companion for tomato party butter. The fresher, the better. Spread thickly, ignore the arteries, and enjoy.
