  • 1 tbsp chives, fresh

Instructions

  • Give the mushrooms a quick wash. Slice length-ways and add to a pan with olive oil on medium heat, frying for about five-six minutes. Add a dash of water as well.
    9 oz mushrooms, 2 tsp olive oil
  • Chop the onion and garlic and add to the pan. Fry for another five minutes or so, until soft.
    1 small onion, 1 clove garlic
  • Add the cream cheese, salt and pepper, parsley, soy and Worcestershire sauce.
    3.5 oz low fat cream cheese, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp parsley, fresh, Salt and pepper to taste, 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (vegetarian)
  • Bring to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer for another five minutes. If the texture is too thick add a little bit of water.
  • Assemble on a slice of toasted whole grain bread. Sprinkle parsley, walnuts and/or chives on top for garnish. Voilà!
