Garlic Mushrooms on Pasta

Ingredients
- 5.5 oz wholegrain pasta
- 10.5 oz mushrooms (white or brown)
- 1 onion
- 2 clove garlic
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 4 oz low fat cream cheese
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (vegetarian) (great if you have it!)
- 5 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp parsley, fresh (1 tbsp fresh = 1 tsp dried)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp walnuts
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions.5.5 oz wholegrain pasta
- Give the mushrooms a quick wash. Slice length-ways and add to a pan with olive oil on medium heat, frying for about five-six minutes. Add a dash of water as well.10.5 oz mushrooms, 2 tsp olive oil, 5 tbsp water
- Chop the onion and garlic and add to the pan. Fry for another five minutes or so, until soft.1 onion, 2 clove garlic
- Add the cream cheese, salt and pepper, parsley, soy and Worcestershire sauce. Also add more water to make the sauce creamier.4 oz low fat cream cheese, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp parsley, fresh, Salt and pepper to taste, 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (vegetarian)
- Bring to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer for another five minutes. If the texture is too thick add a little more water.5 tbsp water
- Assemble onto the pasta. Sprinkle parsley and walnuts on top for garnish. Voilà!1 tbsp walnuts
