For all the family dinners and potlucks that lump vegetarian and gluten-free diets together, it can actually be tough to find gluten-free vegetarian recipes.

If you’ve been on the hunt for gluten-free vegetarian recipes, this list is here to help!

It showcases some of our favorite gluten-free dinner recipes, like buddha bowls, feta bakes, fancy baked potatoes and gluten-free pancakes, plus some gluten-free desserts.

Being vegan and gluten-free can be even more complicated, so we’ve made sure to include gluten-free vegan recipes in this list.

The lowdown on gluten (and gluten-free vegetarian recipes)

Over the last decade, gluten-free foods have moved from a niche health food product to a label on half the items in the grocery store.

That’s left many of us asking questions like: Is rice gluten free? How about pasta? Does gluten-free pizza exist? (yes, no, and yes, there’s a recipe for that below)

And most importantly, should I switch to a gluten-free diet?

The answer to that last one is a little more complicated than the rest.

If you suffer from Celiac Disease, a completely gluten-free diet is necessary. Some people also have wheat allergies or gluten sensitivities that make it best to avoid gluten.

For those of us without these conditions, there is no scientific conclusion on the health benefits of a gluten-free diet.

That being said, some people report higher energy levels and less gastrointestinal concerns after having switched to a gluten-free diet.
